Leather Tray pattern
Leather Tray pattern
This is the pattern for a fold up leather tray. The tray is roughly 8"x8" when folded together. You can unfold the tray to have it lay flat. For more info check out my blog post on this make.
File Contents:
One .svg created using Adobe Illustrator CS4.
Picture Notes:
You may notice one edge of the pictured tray is a little off. The cut was an error on my part but was minor enough to not ruin the piece, so I kept it.
Assembly difficulty: 1/5
The line 20 snaps were a breeze to install.
Required Materials:
~3mm Vegetable tanned leather - should be stiff enough to hold the sides up when curved into the tray.
Line 20 snaps - I chose stainless steel, but they are available in a variety of colors.
Recommended Tools:
Line 20 Snap Setter - for setting the snaps into the leather
Snap Anvil - To maintain the button shape, place it on this when setting it
Rubber mallet - to tap the setter and set the snaps.
