Basic Leather A5 Midori Notebook Cover
This is a simple leather notebook cover for an A5 sized Midori Notebook. The design includes three pieces: an outer cover and two inner pockets for the notebook’s paper cover to slip into.

BasicMidori.svg - created in Inkscape 1.0. File contains two layers - one for primitive shapes used to construct this design, and one for the final merged shapes for cutting. By default primitives are hidden so this file can be directly cut on your Glowforge.
Picture Notes:
I used a dark brown vegetable tanned leather that I picked up from Tandy Leather. The thread is green and purple generic stitching thread purchased online. I used leather needles that I bought from Tandy Leather as well. I tied the two threads together using an overhand knot on one of the threads, and then followed it back with the other color thread and tightened. I then hid the knot between the pieces of leather. I followed the instructions provided in this video.
Assembly difficulty: 2/5
Care should be taken when stitching to keep stitches tight and to cross threads in a consistent manner. I used a simple saddle stitch. The holes are not aligned symmetrically so each piece belongs on a specific side.
